Turn Outdoor Movement Into Exploration

Marchh turns outdoor walks and runs into exploration by giving eligible closed routes a virtual territory outcome.

Marchh is not a hiking-navigation app. It provides a movement and territory experience, while users independently choose safe, lawful and appropriate routes.

Explore through route decisions

A new return path or connected public street can reveal more of a familiar area. Closing a loop can also create geometry for Marchh to evaluate.

Exploration is valuable even when a route does not become territory.

Different environments affect GPS

Open sky usually gives a device more satellite visibility than tunnels, dense tree cover or street canyons. Terrain and device behavior also affect measurements.

Marchh may reject points that fail accuracy or movement-integrity requirements.

Know what Marchh does not do

Marchh does not provide turn-by-turn navigation, rescue support or a guarantee that an outdoor route is accessible.

Carry appropriate information and follow local conditions and rules for any unfamiliar area.

Use the right tool for the outing

For a complex trail, remote area or unfamiliar route, use appropriate current navigation and safety information in addition to any Marchh activity. Marchh does not supply rescue coverage, offline navigation or verified trail access.

Its role is narrower: record supported movement and evaluate eligible territory geometry on the Marchh map.

Exploration can end early

Weather, closures, low battery, poor signal or a change in personal condition can make the planned loop inappropriate. Turn back, take a safer route or end the activity.

A territory attempt is optional. Marchh's digital outcome should never pressure someone to continue into a situation they would otherwise avoid.
