Choose a lawful route
Use public streets, paths and spaces where walking or running is permitted. Do not trespass, cross into private property without permission or enter restricted locations.
Railway tracks, tunnels, active work sites, dangerous roads and unstable terrain are not acceptable shortcuts for closing a route. If a safe loop is not available, choose another place or leave the activity open without pursuing territory.
Watch the physical world
Pay attention to traffic, crossings, vehicles, cyclists, other people, animals, terrain and weather. Stop somewhere safe before looking closely at the screen.
Do not interact with Marchh while driving or operating machinery. Follow local rules and instructions from authorities or property managers.
Understand the limits of the map
Digital maps and GPS can be incomplete or inaccurate. A route line or territory boundary is not evidence that a location is publicly accessible or safe.
Marchh is not an emergency, rescue, medical, navigation or safety service. Contact the appropriate local emergency service if anyone is in immediate danger.
Protect other people
Public territory can associate an account with movement in a geographic area. Do not use that information to identify, follow, locate or confront another user.
Competition stays inside the product. Harassment, threats and real-world retaliation over virtual territory violate Marchh's Community Guidelines.
Questions people ask
Is Marchh territory real property?
No. Marchh territory is entirely virtual. It creates no ownership, possession, access permission or other legal right over a physical place.
Should I use Marchh to navigate an unfamiliar route?
No. Marchh is not a navigation service. Independently confirm that a route is safe, lawful and appropriate before starting.
