Walking and running activities
Marchh can record Walk and Run activities using device location. Activity information can include route coordinates, timestamps, distance, duration, pace, location accuracy and GPS quality information.
With the necessary permission, an intentionally started activity may continue while Marchh is in the background or the device is locked.
Covered areas and territory
Qualifying movement can create a covered area and virtual territory. Marchh evaluates route geometry, location quality, integrity and conflicts; finishing an activity does not automatically create a claim.
Territory geometry, size and ownership can appear on the shared map. Territory ownership may change through Marchh's current mechanics.
History and social features
Marchh maintains activity history and supports public or social information described in its policies, including profiles, shared activity content, captions, comments and follows.
In-app reporting and blocking support safer social interaction. Some public territory information can remain visible after a block because it belongs to the shared map rather than private communication.
Integrity and privacy controls
Marchh may reject inaccurate, implausible, duplicated, manipulated or artificial GPS information. These checks protect activity and territory integrity.
Users control system location permission and can initiate account deletion in Marchh settings. Marchh states that it does not currently collect health information through Apple HealthKit.
Questions people ask
Does every activity create territory?
No. A completed activity does not guarantee a claim. Route geometry, location quality, activity integrity, territory conflicts and other Marchh validation rules can affect eligibility.
Does Marchh provide navigation?
Marchh is not a navigation or safety service. Users remain responsible for choosing safe and lawful routes.
