Run for a shape, not only a number
A familiar loop can be useful for comparing pace or distance. Marchh adds a different question: could a lawful variation return around and define an eligible covered area?
The route itself supplies the potential game result. No claim is automatic, and a worthwhile run remains worthwhile when its geometry stays open or fails territory validation.
Use curiosity to vary repetitive routes
A runner might connect two known streets, choose a different public turn or explore a nearby block while keeping distance, surface and traffic appropriate for the session.
Territory should never pressure someone into an unsafe crossing, private land or unsuitable terrain. Change the plan or finish early whenever real conditions require it.
Keep activity metrics in context
Marchh can calculate route, duration, distance and pace from accepted activity information. Those values help describe effort even when territory is not created.
GPS and surroundings affect the estimates. Marchh is not a coach, race planner or navigation service, and it does not prescribe a target pace or distance.
Let the map become an optional objective
Eligible territory gives movement a persistent visual consequence. Activity history can preserve the individual outing while the shared map reflects current virtual ownership.
This motivation angle differs from the running-game page's mechanics and the running-territory page's mode-specific product explanation. It makes no claim of streaks, rewards, races, training plans or challenges.
Build variety without letting the game dictate training
A runner can treat territory as one optional prompt among recovery, time, distance, surface and personal preference. On some days, the useful choice may be an open route or a familiar loop that creates no new map state.
Curiosity can support a personal movement habit, but Marchh does not measure adherence or prescribe frequency. The runner remains responsible for deciding whether, when and how a route fits the day.
Questions people ask
Does every activity create territory?
No. A completed activity does not guarantee a claim. Route geometry, location quality, activity integrity, territory conflicts and other Marchh validation rules can affect eligibility.
Does Marchh guarantee that running will feel more motivating?
No. Motivation is personal; Marchh provides optional route and territory objectives.
