Turn Running Into a Map-Based Game

Marchh makes running a map-based game by connecting qualifying closed runs to virtual territory on a shared map.

A runner can still care about pace, distance and the feel of the session. Marchh adds a separate question: what shape will this run leave on the map?

Design a loop around the session

A recovery run may use a comfortable familiar loop. A longer session may combine safe public streets into a larger enclosed route. Territory adds spatial strategy without dictating training.

Marchh is not medical or coaching software, and no health outcome is promised.

Persistent territory changes the payoff

A route line normally documents the past. An eligible Marchh claim can remain as visible virtual ownership until territory mechanics change it.

This persistence makes route choice part of the game rather than a one-time badge.

Run honestly and safely

Use genuine movement and accepted GPS information. Do not spoof location, automate travel or duplicate activities.

Never alter a route toward traffic, restricted property, railway infrastructure or dangerous terrain for a virtual claim.

Different runs, different map choices

A short easy loop, a longer perimeter and a route combining two familiar circuits create different shapes even when they begin from the same general area. Marchh makes that geometry legible as a game decision.

Pace and distance describe effort, while territory describes an accepted relationship between the route and the shared map. Neither guarantees the other.

Avoid optimizing the wrong thing

A sharper corner or wider area is not useful if it requires an unsafe crossing, private access or an unsuitable surface. Route design should begin with the planned run and current conditions.

Marchh territory is allowed to be secondary. The product does not require every run to become a claim.

Questions people ask

Does every activity create territory?

No. A completed activity does not guarantee a claim. Route geometry, location quality, activity integrity, territory conflicts and other Marchh validation rules can affect eligibility.
