What Marchh records
An activity can include route coordinates, timestamps, distance, duration, pace, accuracy and GPS-quality information. Marchh calculates results from accepted location samples.
Poor or implausible points may be ignored to protect accuracy and integrity.
Give the device a usable signal
Enable Location Services, Marchh location permission and Precise Location where available. GPS can degrade indoors, beside large buildings, under dense trees and in tunnels.
Background permission and battery settings can affect an intentionally started activity when the app is not foregrounded.
Where territory differs
A walking tracker normally preserves a route and metrics. Marchh can also evaluate a closed route as a covered area and virtual claim.
The extra outcome does not make every walk eligible or turn Marchh into navigation software.
Read the metrics as estimates
Distance and pace are useful ways to understand a walk, but they inherit the limits of the accepted location samples. A short GPS jump can lengthen a line; a missing segment can shorten it.
Marchh's Terms therefore avoid guaranteeing a route, coordinate, pace, distance, covered area or territory boundary. The measurements are product information, not survey data.
Questions people ask
Can Marchh record a walk in the background?
With the necessary permission, Marchh may continue receiving location for an activity you intentionally started while the app is backgrounded or the device is locked.
Does every activity create territory?
No. A completed activity does not guarantee a claim. Route geometry, location quality, activity integrity, territory conflicts and other Marchh validation rules can affect eligibility.
